Kodak Clean'N'CleAR Lens Coating

Kodak UVSun Lenses
When sunlight is reflected off a smooth surface such as pavements or water, the rays 'polarise' turning into vertical and horizontal waves. Vertical light waves help us to see colour and contrast but horizontal light waves create harsh white 'glare'.
The technology in Kodak UVSun Lenses act as a venetian blind, allowing only the useful vertical light waves to pass through the lenses. Available in 5 fashionable colours they are the ultimate in sun protection, ideal for driving, winter and water sports and offer 100% UV protection.
Kodak UVSun polarising lenses eliminate 99.9% of reflected sunlight giving superb, natural vision without harsh glare. Available in 5 different colours and also available in most prescriptions, as well as varifocal lenses.
Kodak Instashades Lenses
Traditionally, photochromic lenses have had an inherent problem: they take a long time to go dark and take even longer to fade back to clear. The Kodak InstaShades Lens addresses this problem with new technology that reacts quicker than any other plastic photochromic lens*. In other words, as soon as you go inside they return to clear very quickly.
Kodak InstaShades Lenses offer 100% UV protection against the sun's harmful rays and they come with RLX Plus - the world's most scratch resistant plastic lens surface. In addition they are available in 1.6 index as standard and are therefore thinner and lighter than a standard lens.
*When compared to traditional photochromics.

Kodak Thin & Lite Lenses
There are a range of Kodak Thin&Lite Lens materials from which the lenses are made. This will affect the thickness of the finished product and is described as the index. They range from 1.498 index (the standard plastic lens) to 1.74 the world's thinnest plastic lens material. As a rough guide, the higher the index the thinner the lens but choice of frame will also affect the finished thickness of you lenses.
